UniBallast - Van der Wees cooperation

UniBallast is partnering up with Royal Van der Wees to bring the solution to global ballast water problems to you. Literally! The combination of Royal Van der Wees' fleet of barges and UniBallast's portable Ballast Water treatment containers brings a sustainable solution to a significant global challenge.

UniBallast and Royal Van der Wees have come up with a groundbreaking strategy to tackle ballast water issues head-on. Ships can now offload their ballast water into large barges equipped with UniBallast's mobile treatment containers, regardless of their location. This means that vessels without onboard treatment systems can dispose of their ballast water efficiently and without delay in their operations.

UniBallast’s treatment technologies are compliant with both IMO and USCG standards, ensuring  to meet applicable rules and relations.

Announced at Breakbulk Europe 2024, this partnership promises enhanced flexibility in ballast water treatment operations. The system is designed to be flexible, with high capacity, high flow rate, low power consumption, and portability as key features.

Effective ballast water management is crucial for protecting marine life and complying with tightening regulations. By neutralizing invasive species in ballast water, we can help preserve local ecosystems and support global sustainability efforts.

Royal Van der Wees and UniBallast are committed to providing tailored solutions that ensure optimal performance for every vessel, eliminating downtime and maximizing operational efficiency. Professional support is available to ease implementation and maintenance, allowing you to focus on running your operations smoothly.
